Lynn has over 32 years experience coding and over 13 years of teaching, specializing in the areas of general and vascular surgery in physician practices. Currently, Lynn acts as the lead coder and coding manager for one of the largest and most respected surgical practices in Richmond, Virginia and she teaches the PMCC curriculum of the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders).

Her hands-on-coding experience allows her the knowledge and understanding that is needed for educating others in this field. Since 2003, Lynn has provided coding consulting work through her company, Mid-Atlantic Coding, LLC. She is currently retained by surgical practice clients across the country and is a frequent speaker at coding events in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Lynn is accredited as a Certified Professional Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). She has also obtained her Certified Professional Coding Instructor Certification (CPC-I). In addition, Lynn has also obtained a certification as a CGSC (Certified General Surgery Coder) by the AAPC.

Lynn has been teaching the PMCC (Professional Medical Coding Curriculum) to students for the past 6 years at surrounding Colleges.

In her spare time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years, and her two sons. Both of her boys are coders as well, following in her footsteps.

Colleen has worked in the health care field for over 29 years and has been a Certified Professional Coder since 2000. In November 2011 Colleen obtained her Masters in Health Administration with an Emphasis on Education.

Colleen has also worked in the billing, coding, audit, training, and registration areas of health care industry in a variety of settings; working with hospitals, group practices and for the Department of Defense. Colleen also teaches coding and billing in Richmond Va. Colleen’s current position as the Billing Compliance Educator is to ensure compliance with Federal Documentation Guidelines to providers and staff.

Tiffany Haskins has been in the medical profession since 2000 working her way from billing data entry clerk to Director of Health Information Management. Currently Tiffany is the Director of Health Information Management and Compliance Officer at Hiram W. Davis Medical Center a facility under the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services. She has a strong background in E/M and Risk Adjust Coding, physician training and compliance.

She obtained her Masters’ of Business Administration/Healthcare Management through Florida Institute of Technology and currently holds the following certifications: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) and Certified Compliance Officer (CPCO) with the AAPC. Tiffany is also a member and served as former Treasurer of the AAPC Petersburg Association of Coders (PAC) Chapter in Petersburg, Virginia.

Outside of her full time career she loves spending time with her two energetic boys who keeps her busy with academics and sports.
